Guinasso Elected Chair of Council of Principal Investigators Dr. Norman Guinasso, director of the Geochemical and Environmental Research Group (GERG) in the College of Geosciences, has been elected chair of the Council of Principal Investigators for 2008-2009. Guinasso is also a research scientist in the Department of Oceanography and program manager for the Texas Automated Buoy System.
GERG team participates in 2008 Relay for Life as a tribute to Dr. Guy Denoux Each year, GERG employees work together to raise money for the American Cancer Society. This year, our efforts were dedicated to the memory of Guy Denoux. We raised almost $1,800 and were recognized, once again, as a Bronze level team.
